What will I need to do while on the program?
Track your macros/ Keep a detailed food log – Tracking your macros is a structured approach that allows you to eat all the foods you love while at the same time producing results. Tracking is the ‘training wheels’ for your nutrition. It teaches you about food.
When you’ve tracked for a while you learn what foods are high in carbs, proteins, fats; what foods are good sources of key vitamins and minerals, and fibre; you learn how many calories are in your favourite restaurant foods. You learn what actual portion sizes look like. Soon, you may know enough to eat without using a calorie tracking app. But, to get to that point, you first need to learn these principles.
Keeping a food log will also let us see exactly what you’re consuming so we can provide personalized coaching. By adjusting food types and quantities throughout your program, we can keep your body in the environment needed for body composition change. With this data, we are able to analyze your intake and recommend food and supplements to improve your health and enhance your performance.
Data Submission – We will be asking you to submit your weigh-ins, measurements, progress photos, and workouts. The frequency of submissions will vary from client to client depending on their program.
Follow our guidance – Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible. We will provide you with the education you need and have you take action at a rate that you can easily apply to your life.
How long do I need to keep a food log and track my macros for? What is the maintenance stage?
It’s important that you log your food and track your macros for the duration of your program. Once you’ve lost the fat you’ve wanted to lose and/or built the muscle you’ve wanted to build, it’s time to move into the maintenance stage.
At this time, we recommend that we continue tracking your food intake for at least two weeks. The goal is to establish a basic routine of food types and portions that are in line with your maintenance macronutrient needs. After the two weeks, you can start to eye out portions and move away from logging your food.
As part of our exit strategy, we’ll guide you on how to move to a mindful eating approach.
How do I log my food? How to track macros?
We have you use an app on your smartphone or computer to track your food intake and macros so we can see it in real time. It’s really easy. Still feeling unsure? Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through this process step-by-step once you start the program.
How much do your services cost?
We provide solutions for all budgets. The plan or program most suitable for you will typically be based on how much knowledge, accountability, and support you’ll need to be successful, along with the time-frame needed to accomplish your goals.
